Prince
This article, recently posted at JWTalk, was published yesterday July 6th, 2010 by the British tabloid called ‘The Mirror’. Keep in mind the type of publication The Mirror is.
Regardless, the question has been popping up recently and a little more frequently whether or not Prince is still an active Jehovah’s Witness. According to this article, yes he is still active.

Fixed the link. Sorry about that.
I’m gld to hear he’s still active however, I wish he was little more careful in his music selection and videos. This does not reflect what well what Jehovah’s Witnesses teach from the bible about conduct and speech. There’s nothing wrong with the idea of what he’s doing, it’s hust we have to watch how we act and speak so as to be more like Christ.
Thanks for the blog.
Ah, well. I’m glad he’s a brother. People tend to cut a little slack for celebrities, expecting them to be eccentric. People who can’t stand Jehovah’s Witnesses will jump on any miscue Prince makes, but I doubt anyone else will. Moreover, these guys are the fodder for lots of gossip and inaccurate reporting, so that I take with a grain of salt anything I read about them.
Celebrity-hood exposes one to a different world in which it’s challenging for a Christian to operate. For that reason, the parent organization discourages it, and abounds with stories of how this or that person gave up real or potential stardom so as to have a “fuller share” in the ministry. But if I was the absolute best in a given pursuit, (which I’m not) especially if I was already such upon first becoming a Witness, and even more so if I wasn’t trained for anything else, I’m not so sure I would give it up, either. I might instead try to make it work with the truth, challenging though that might be.
